The Flannel Homestead

I have always loved to sew, cook for my family & entertain guests at my home. Long before The Flannel Homestead existed I enjoyed setting a beautiful table, sewing for my home, and finding joy in the small details that make a house feel warm.

In 2020, after retiring from a corporate career, I found myself with more time to devote to that passion — and a growing desire to make more sustainable choices for my family. I began sewing reusable towels for the kitchen, then started experimenting with 100% cotton flannel to create colorful, fun table settings. My family loved the softness of the napkins and the colorful prints. When I entertained, guests would remark on how fun & stylish my table looked and loved the idea that they were reusable; that sustainable could look this good — became the seed of a business. A few years later, I founded The Flannel Homestead so that other households could bring the same affordable, sustainable, reusable style to their own tables.

Today, The Flannel Homestead offers a variety of reusable products made by me personally as well as other sustainable products made from companies in the US that I partner with. I have selected these products based on my own personal use and recommendation.  

I hope these products inspire my customers to enjoy decorating their kitchen & dining areas and create a table setting that brings them, their families and friends warmth, happiness and joy.
